CCM Selected for National Museum Assessment Program!

The Chesapeake Children’s Museum has been selected to participate in a nationwideMuseum Assessment Program!  Througha guided, one-year process that includes self-study and on-site consultation with a museumprofessional, CCM will be empowered to better servethe children of Annapolis by working towards the highestprofessional standards of the museum field.  This nationwide program is administered by the AmericanAssociation of Museums and funded by the federal Institute of Museum andLibrary Services, and has served over 4,300 small and mid-sized museums sinceits creation in 1981.  For moreinformation about the Museum Assessment Program, visit www.aam-us.org/map.

Touch a Truck is Coming Up!

Touch a Truck will be held on Saturday, June 16, 2012 from 11am-2pm at the parking lot of St. Martin’s Lutheran Church and School, 1120 Spa Road Annapolis, MD 21403,on the corner of Spa Rd. and Forest Dr. The cost is $15 per carload of patrons and proceeds benefit the Chesapeake Children’s Museum.


Children and adults alike can get up close and personal with real-life trucks and service vehicles. Some confirmed vehicles include a tractor, the Annapolis Trolley and a Maryland State Highway Administration vehicle. The fire department and postal service will also be represented. Fruits of Labor catering will have food and beverages available for purchase.
