Parents and professional caregivers will discuss the creative nature of 1 and 2- year-olds, hazards to avoid for mess and safety, and try out many age-appropriate materials for creative visual expression. 6:30 to 8:30 pm. Saturday, September 17: PaddleFEST
CCM will provide children’s activities as part of this family event to enjoy and learn about Spa Creek. 11 am to 4 pm. Hosted by Stand Up Paddle, 808 Boucher Ave., Eastport. Saturday, Sept. 24: Kunta Kinte Festival

Creek Clean-up Day - Wednesday August 3
The
Spa
Creek Conservancy,
a nonprofit organization of volunteers, is in the final stages of securing
permits for the channel restoration project — behind the CCM building — which will take place
over the next six months. Volunteers are needed to help remove invasive and non-invasive
plant species in the area along the parking lot and behind the
museum. Student teams from the Green Summer Works (GSW) program along
with the Annapolis READY (Restoring the Environment and Developing Youth)
program will be working with volunteer crew leaders. The primary area of work
will be the storm water eroded ravine behind the museum. There are many
tasks around the museum grounds for all skill levels, from trash pick-up
to dead tree removal. Tools will be provided.Work will begin

Don't Bug Me! - Sunday August 21
What animals are incredibly strong, can re- produce by dozens or more, and communicate in amazing ways? Insects, of course! Learn about a variety of local bugs from Bill Hopkins, a lifelong bug lover. Weather permitting, there will be a bug hunt in the park. 1 - 3 pm. Free with museum admission.
