Creek Clean-up Day - Wednesday August 3

Creek Conservancy,
a nonprofit organization of volunteers, is in the final stages of securing
permits for the channel restoration project — behind the CCM building — which will take place
over the next six months. Volunteers are needed to help remove invasive and non-invasive
plant species in the area along the parking lot and behind the
museum. Student teams from the Green Summer Works (GSW) program along
with the Annapolis READY (Restoring the Environment and Developing Youth)
program will be working with volunteer crew leaders. The primary area of work
will be the storm water eroded ravine behind the museum. There are many
tasks around the museum grounds for all skill levels, from trash pick-up
to dead tree removal. Tools will be provided.Work will begin
