A Little Free Library at CCM

The story goes like this . . .
The Early Childhood Coalition of Anne Arundel County, of which CCM director
Deborah Wood has been a member since its inception, has as its goal that EVERY child in our county arrive at school ready to succeed. Low-cost and no-cost solutions have been working to increase skills and supports for children from birth to age five across the county. But there is still much to be done.
Enter this brilliant little idea that has been catching on across

the country and worldwide: a tiny library that has no check out system - just an ongoing chain of donated books for the taking. Thanks to a donation toward the construction and installation from CCM supporter Paul Bookstein, and the decorative flair plus first stash of books from Girl Scout Brownie troop 2052 from
Germantown, MD., visitors to CCM and passers by from the community have access to picture books for little ones as well as fiction and non-fiction for children of all ages.
Books in Spanish are especially appreciated.
