Lead On, Harriet! March 10 & 11 & 25th

Take a “ride” to freedom with Harriet Tubman, the legendary conductor
of the Underground Railroad
 from Bucktown, Maryland.
Ages 9 and up. Advance registration is required. 7 - 9 pm.
Jump into Black History month with CCM’s award winning program about Harriet Tubman and the Underground Railroad. Suitable for ages 9 to adult, activities include learning about secret messages that helped runaway slaves. “The Old Man” herself pays a visit and assures a safe passage to Canada to all who are brave enough to follow.

Make some green oobleck. Stuff a red fish, or a blue fish
Decorate a hat to rival that of Bartholomew Cubbins.
Ages 2 to 5. 10:30 - 11:30 am. Free with museum admission.

Maryland Day Makers Workshop - March 24 & 25 2-4pm

Try your hand at creating and inventing! Use your imagination to turn bits and pieces into something new. Recommended for ages four through ten-years-old with accompanying adults.
2-4 pm. $1 per person, ages 1 and up.

Stress with Children - For Grownups - Monday January 30

Parents, teachers, and professional child care providers will share experiences and tips for managing children’s stress and the stress that can come from working with children. 6:30-9:30 pm. $33.

Animal Party: Sunday January 22nd.

Meet some live animals and learn how to take care of them. Girl Scout Juniors earn the Animal Habitats badge, Brownies earn the Pets badge. Non-scouts are welcome. Two sessions: 9 am - 12 noon and 1 - 4 pm. $10 per person. One adult free for every 5 children.
