MARK TWAIN is coming to town

The Big Read is coming to town! We will welcome Mark Twain (played by Charles Keirnan of Schnecksville, PA) for several Kick O events April 16-18th. A parade is being planned to escort Mr. Twain in horse and carriage to CCM. Watch our website for details. That evening, your inner child can come to an 1880’s costume party to welcome the world famous orator and author. Get advance tickets online at www.theccm.org. This begins a five-week celebration of The Adventures of Tom Sawyer with events listed in the li le green book tucked into 800 free copies of the paperback as well as on our website. Pick up a free book or use The Gutenberg Project to join the adventure electronically. As Twain said, “May you always keep your youth.”

April 17: Mark Twain Rambles On 
2-3:30 pm at St. Mar n’s in the Field Church & School, 375 Ben eld Rd, Severna Park, ages 6-106. Free. Donations bene t St. Mar n’s play- ground fund and CCM. $10 / $5 kids. 

April 17: Visit with Mark Twain 
4:30-6:30 pm Annapolis Bookstore 35 Maryland Avenue (West.Annap.) Period music by Bob Friedman. Take a selfie with Mark Twain! Free. 

April 17: Book Club Reception 
7 pm Mingle with other club members for an audience with 

Mark Twain at CCM. Free. Reservations are required.

Garden Faeries & Whitewash Weekend :Saturday, April 23


Beautify the park at CCM with plantings and other “green improvements. Make a fairy house and other garden crafts to take home. 
9am-2pm $5- Comcast will be matching funds

Roll up your sleeves and join in the fun—borrowing from Tom Sawyer’s approach to rounding up extra hands, ask what you can bring! Crew leaders are needed for tasks including: exterior wall painting, indoor cleaning, and installing new flooring downstairs.
