Creek Clean-up Day - Wednesday August 3

The Spa Creek Conservancy, a nonprofit organization of volunteers, is in the final stages of securing permits for the channel restoration project — behind the CCM building — which will take place over the next six months. Volunteers are needed to help remove invasive and non-invasive plant species in the area along the parking lot and behind the museum. Student teams from the Green Summer Works (GSW) program along with the Annapolis READY (Restoring the Environment and Developing Youth) program will be working with volunteer crew leaders. The primary area of work will be the storm water eroded ravine behind the museum. There are many tasks around the museum grounds for all skill levels, from trash pick-up to dead tree removal. Tools will be provided.Work will begin around 9 am and noonish by 3 or 4 pm.To volunteer or for more information, email Mel Wilkins: mel82nd@comcast.net or call him at 410-271-5546
