Monday-Friday August 6-10th - Camp Kunta Kinte

Travel to west Africa in your imagination to experience the culture of Kunta Kinte’s childhood. Kunta Kinte is memorialized in Roots: The Saga of an American Family as the ancestor of author Alex Haley. A week of activities is planned with music, crafts, food, games and traditional folk tales for children ages 6 to 10, August 6-10. Campers will be able to share what they’ve learned at the Kunta Kinte Festival which will be held at Annapolis City Dock on Saturday, September 29, 10 am to 7 pm.
